There is so much for you and your guests to do in the Catskills, that you just might need to stay a few days longer! Catskill Weddings is happy to arrange activities like a golf tournament or a scenic train ride through the countryside or even a day at a spa, or you can give them a list and send them out on their own to explore all that the Catskills has to offer.

ANTIQUING/SHOPPING
The villages along Route 28 each have their own personality with unique shops and stores. From Woodstock, Phoenicia, Pine Hill, Fleischmanns, Margaretville and Andes, take your time to explore each hamlet and town.

ALL TERRAIN VEHICLES
Ever want to try 4-wheeling through the miles of trails in the Catskill Forest? Here's a fun and exciting activity for the adventuresome to enjoy. Catskills ATVs offers 4-wheelers for rent. Available April through October. The Stone Tavern Farm in Roxbury rents ATV's for exploring hundreds of acres on their farm. 607-326-3600

BELLEAYRE MOUNTAIN
No matter what the season, Belleayre offers a variety of activities for all ages. In the summer, take the ski lift to the top of the mountain and enjoy the views. Hike the trails. Visit the Interactive Nature Center. Swim and boat at Belleayre Lake. Enjoy a concert at the Belleayre Music Festival. In the winter, downhill or cross country ski, snowboard the highest skiable peak and longest skiable trail in the Catskills.

BOATING
Kayak or canoe the headwaters of the Delaware River. Boat rentals available at Old Town Canoes and Kayaks (607-326-4266). Pedal boats, row boats & canoes are also available at Belleayre Lake, just 5 minutes away. Kyaking is also available Susan's Pleasant Phesant in Halcottsville on RT 30.


DINING
There are over over 20 restaurants to meet every taste and budget. From basic burgers to unique creations, our local chefs are sure to please. Some of our favorites are the The Peekamoose, the Binnekill, The Inn Between on RT 28 in Arkville, and the Andes Hotel Restaurant,. A few of our area restaurants are dog friendly on their beautiful porches and patios. Breakfast at Cassie's Cafe in Roxbury is a must while you are here.
ENTERTAINMENT
Summer brings the Belleayre Music Festival to our neighborhood. Special events abound on summer weekends. The Andes Hotel offers a variety of weekly entertainment and there are things happening on the weekends at The Roxbury Arts Group in Roxbury and other venues. Check the "Around The Area" column in The Catskill Mountain News.
FARMERS AND FLEA MARKETS
Most operate on weekends from Memorial Day to Columbus Day and offer local produce, maple syrup, home baked goods, handmade crafts and more. Pakatakan Farmers Market in the Round Red Barn on RT 30 in Roxbury, and the Magic Mile Flea Market on RT 28 in Arkville.
FARMS
For a scenic drive, travel north on Route 30 into Schoharie County and visit the many pick-your-own farms and stands along the way.
FISHING
Our bountiful streams team with trout. The nearby Esopus, East Branch Delaware, and Bushkill (in our own backyard) have many public access points for fly fishing. A licence can be purchased for $15 from a local bait shop. Bring your own equiptment.
GALLERIES
The area is home to many unique artists and galleries. The villages in the area offer many great shops and galleries. A couple of our favorites are the Chase Randall Gallery in Andes and the Longyear gallery in Margaretville.
GOLF
Nearby courses include Meadows Golf Center, Hanah Country Club , and Shepard Hills.
HIKING
We are located at the edge of the Catskill Forest Preserve. Fantastic hiking for all skill levels is just minutes away. HORSEBACK RIDING

MOUNTAIN BIKING
Plattekill Mountain in Roxbury offers over 60 miles of lift served mountain bike trails, Plattekill offers steep chutes and big drops for the expert, as well as learn to bike packages for the beginner.
SCENIC DRIVES
Our by-ways and back roads offer unsurpassed views and vistas. Drive over the largest NYC Reservoir, through the covered bridges of Delaware County, or take a historic barn tour.
SKIING/WINTER SPORTS
Winter sports is abound in the Catskills. Downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing are all just minutes away: Belleayre Mountain, Ski Plattekill , and Frost Valley.
SPAS
Looking to treat yourself to a massage or spa treatment? Look no further than Bodyworx in Margaretville (845-586-3101), Hot Stone Massage ( 845-586-1166), the Emerson Spa. Reservations recommended.
SWIMMING
Right in the Village of Fleischmanns is a heated outdoor pool which is open in July and August. Belleayre Beach is open Memorial Day to Labor Day. Hanah Mountain Resort offers day memberships to their indoor heated pool and its free for guests at the Resort.
TENNIS
Newly resurfaced free public courts are available in the village of Fleischmanns.
TRAIN RIDES
Enjoy an open car rail ride on the Delaware & Ulster Railroad, a scenic train that winds through the valley and villages of the Catskills.
TUBING
Rent an inner tube from Town Tinker and ride the rapids and drift with the current as the Esopus Creek winds through the beautiful Catskill Mountains.
